Overview

Build The Pho North Olmsted emerges as a fresh and exciting destination for Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts in the heart of North Olmsted, Ohio. Located conveniently on Great Northern Boulevard, this restaurant brings an authentic, customizable pho experience complemented by a lively and modern ambiance that invites both pho aficionados and newcomers alike.

The hallmark here is the “Build Your Own” pho, which allows patrons to tailor their bowls with choices like rice noodles, brisket, various proteins, and flavorful add-ons. Reviews consistently highlight the rich, aromatic broth that forms the soul of the dish—complex, comforting, and deeply satisfying. This thoughtful customization extends to their boba offerings, which stand out for their variety and health-conscious options like sugar-free and zero-sugar alternatives, catering well to those mindful of their intake.

Beyond pho, the kitchen surprises with creative dishes such as pork spring rolls uniquely combined with taro and mushrooms, crispy sweet rock shrimp, and soup dumplings (xiao long bao) — each delivering distinctive textures and tastes that excite the palate. While the dumplings earned praise for flavor, some feedback suggests slight room for refinement in the wrapping to preserve the delicate broth inside.

The interior space is described as clean and harmonious, enhancing the overall dining experience with a relaxed yet vibrant vibe. Service receives high marks for attentiveness and speed, with staff showing genuine hospitality that makes guests feel welcome whether dining at the bar or at a table. This friendly atmosphere couples well with thoughtful amenities like carefully packed to-go orders where fresh vegetables remain crisp, ensuring carryout meals maintain quality.

Build The Pho’s beverage program complements its menu thoughtfully. From a curated selection of red and white wines to a range of vodkas and beers, the drinks cater well to pairing with Vietnamese flavors. While some diners noted that non-alcoholic options like unsweetened black tea come without free refills, the overall drink experience remains promising, especially with the ingeniously flavored waters that evoke subtle freshness.

This spot fits well for a variety of customers—from solo diners craving a quick, delicious bowl of pho, to groups looking for a vibrant meal with diverse offerings. Its appeal is broad, thanks to the customizable menu, trendy decor, and attentive service, making it a must-visit for those seeking genuine Vietnamese tastes in a welcoming environment.

Delicious! All of the workers were hustling and got food out quickly and piping hot. Delicious Soup Dumplings, crispy sweet rock shrimp and let’s not forget the Pho. I got the house special, tons of protein and the broth was amazing. We didn’t try a tea this time but they all looked super cute and fun. Would highly recommend and I can’t wait to come back!

We went to build the pho this weekend for the first time. I am so glad they have boba that is customizable. I love that you can get it with 0% sugar or sugar free! Also, they have xiao long bao (soup dumplings), which are very delicious. I don’t know if this was a one of thing or not, but the soup leaves the dumplings. I think they need to work on the wrapping perhaps- not sure! The pho was really good. I like that the pho is also customizable and the chilli oil pairs well with it. The spring rolls were very interesting. I don’t think I’ve had pork spring rolls with taro and mushrooms in it before. Great place- we will absolutely be back!

I ordered pho to-go and it was absolutely amazing! The soup was fresh, flavorful, and the portion was just right. Everything was packed so nicely, the broth was separated from the fresh vegetables, which kept everything crisp and delicious. I chose rice noodles (definitely the best choice!), and they even included spicy jalapeños and sriracha on the side. The place itself has such a clean, harmonious vibe, which makes it even better. I also tried a boba drink and it was amazing too, refreshing:) Overall, I couldn’t be happier. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

I was recommended this place by one of the Cleveland food reviewers that try new/fun places in the Cleveland area. I love Vietnamese food and pho is really good. I got the “Build Your Own” Pho with rice noodles and beef brisket (extra as well). The portions were very nice and the food was excellent. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because my unsweetened black tea was $3.99 and you don’t get free refills. I get for the special drinks (which they have a huge selection of that all look delicious) it would make sense not to have free refills for that, but my unsweetened black tea with lemon shouldn’t be part of that. It was really good too and I was so thirsty after enjoying the pho because it was hot and a little spicy with the sliced jalapeños I put in the pho. So I had to conserve my drink since I didn’t want to pay another $3.99 plus tax and they did give me water, but it tasted like cucumbers. I like cucumber water, but I want to know that’s what I’m drinking before I have it. It really wasn’t something I wanted to drink at that moment. I’m not even sure it was cucumber water either. The service was great and they were quick to serve me. I have no complaints or concerns whatsoever there. The host was also very kind when I walked in. I would’ve had to wait for a clean table, but I was by myself so I sat at the bar. I wouldn’t have minded waiting, but I was very hungry. I would definitely recommend this place and I got the deal for coming before September ended, so be prepared to spend a little more than what I did. Mine was a good $20, which I thought wasn’t bad. I know next time it will be more and I hope they give exceptions to unsweetened black tea to have free refills because that would push it to a 5/5.

We were on a small road trip, happen to love Pho, and noticed in Google maps this new Pho restaurant that just opened up. Had to try it, and we're so glad we did! The food was fantastic! The service was extremely friendly and helpful. Even the water was great! Yes... the water. They flavor that. So.... admittedly there were a few things they "didn't have yet" because they literally just opened, including the appetizer we ordered, but we rolled with it and were so extremely happy. Give this place a try!

This spot just opened recently, and we stopped by during their lunch promo. The staff was super friendly and attentive, even though it was busy with most tables full around noon on Saturday. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious, and the pork rice dish came with a generous portion. I loved the HK tea — the bear-shaped ice was such a cute touch — and I went with a regular iced coffee drip. The pho could use improvement; the broth was a bit bland, but the bowl was packed with noodles and meat. The interior design is beautiful, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience!
